My Story

​

I would like to tell you about my journey to where I am today. Back in 2005 I had my first introduction into holistic therapies. I was a Reiki Master training in the technique of massage, it was during this time I first heard of Bowen Therapy from my tutor, who advised me that if I had the opportunity of a Bowen treatment I should go along, because in her words "it is a wonderful gentle treatment, treating the whole body".

 

The opportunity came along and there I was signing up for the course and I have never looked back

In 2007 I became a Bowen Technician/Practitioner and added this wonderful treatment to the treatments offered. Since that time I have been increasing my professional development every year, to ensure the level of care given to my clients is of the highest standards.

I had suffered for many years with a problematic  coccyx, meetings and seminars were very difficult for me, I found sitting in one position for a while excruciatingly painful. In my basic training I gave and received the Bowen Technique, I was delighted to see there was a procedure to help my problem. It eased but did not entirely go away. Now I had the desire to learn more and more. I continued my training with Post Graduate courses, followed up with Specialist Bowen Procedures 1 & 2, and there it was, a procedure that meant the end to my coccyx problem.  Fantastic!

• In 2015 I enrolled for the year long course with the European Guild of Canine Bowen Therapists, to become a Canine Bowen Technician. The course was intense and demanding, but what I learned is invaluable. To work in the company of Ron & Sally Askew, the founders of EGCBT was a fantastic opportunity & a great honor, 2016 was the year I qualified as a Canine Bowen Technician. This year long journey, has exposed me to see how Bowen Technique can be adapted for dogs of all ages with various levels of energy and fitness. Working with this wonderful therapy and the dogs has been amazing. The professional level of training was excellent and to see how the dogs respond to Bowen Technique is amazing. The satisfaction from seeing the results of the treatment is so rewarding.

• In 2019 I became  a McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release Practitioner. This is a most amazing treatment helping people in many ways following the trauma to the body caused by scars, which may be a result of many things, including Surgery, Accident, Attack, and the problems they may cause, pain, restricted range of movement, reduced blood flow to the area, weakened muscles, furthermore people may be concerned regarding the appearance of the scar.  It may also be considered for Facial Scar  Muscle Tears & Planter Fasciitis etc, The MSTR® is here to help.

I have a treatment room at my home which is created with a truly holistic approach to healing. For Canine Bowen Technique, I can offer treatments in Merseyside, Cheshire, Wirral, Lancashire & Tameside.
